A WORD FROM THE EDITOR

Dear visitor and international investor,

We warmly welcome you, if this is your first visit to Africabiz Online - The ultimate newsletter on trading and investing in 49 sub-Saharan African countries. If you are a regular and faithful reader, welcome back.

- IT'S TIMES TO WAKE UP TO THE HIDDEN HAND'S TRICKS, AND SHARP PRACTICES TO PERPETUATING THE POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC DOMINANCE OF AFRICA

We received several hundred of mails following the previous delivery that connected the dots about political crisis and chaos spreading day by day throughout Africa.

Ninety percent of mails's senders expressed doubt that the regime change in Libya (November 2011) was a strategically planned move by Nato's members-states to regaining control of Africa political and economic development process, to stop Chinese growing economic influence - and maintain the black continent as a subservient client to Europe and America.

These challenging mails were not a complete surprise to Africabiz Online editorial board. Indeed, it had suspected since long ago that African decision makers were not well informed about what is really going on behind the screen - not to mention the few powerful ones in power who perfectly know and nevertheless choose to collaborate with the adversary (competitor) to maintaining the Black continent as a subservient client

The main argumentation put forward by the doubters is that there is no proof that Nato members-states have such a long term plan to destabilize the black continent.

In the contrary, haven't we read about Nato's member-states's condemnations of the destruction of World Heritage shrines in Mali by radical Islamists? Haven't Nato's political leaders proclaimed their willingness to assist and provide military logistics, to stage joint military drills in order to securing the Sahelian region and free it from heavily armed terrorists groups roaming that vast desert territory?

Truly, these condemnations and offers of assistance speak for themselves. Nato's members are for close collaboration with African countries, to advancing the economic developing. They are against chaos!

Therefore, the doubters think that Africabiz Online is simply joining up rank with Conspiracy Theorists, who claim that there is a group of people behind the screen - a hidden powerful hand - dedicated to manipulating world events with the final aim of establishing a New World Order, to dominating and managing world politics and economy - without the consent and control of the masses.

For the truly blinds, who are really not aware of what is going on, who take on face value condemnations and collaboration proposals from Nato member-states's leaders, Africabiz Online, in continuation to this introduction, is providing facts and documented information - gathered by researchers worldwide, that would hopefully open their eyes.

- MISCELLANEOUS SERIES: PINEAPPLE AS INCOME BUILDING POWER FOR A COMMUNITY - ECONOMICS ABOUT A MEDIUM SCALE ANIMAL FEED PRODUCTION FROM PINEAPPLE LEAVES AND WASTES

Africabiz Online dedicated a series to pineapple cultivation as income building power for African communities - as per following links: [ 42, 43, 44, 45, 46]

This current delivery revisits the economics of a 400 ha-plantation dedicated to pineapple fruit production

Courtesy of jas.fass.org/In said above linked issue, the plantation is programmed and structured to produce in average 50 metric tons of pineapple fruit per hectare. That is, every month 500 metric tons of leaves are available as waste from the direct harvesting of pineapple fruit. In addition to that there are wastes from the processing of fruits: crown leaves, peels, and pulps - which represent about 20 metric tons.

Most of the times, in African producing countries, these wastes - leaves and pineapple fruit processing by-products are not used as raw-materials to generating additional revenues.

Let us briefly consider the economics of a medium size animal feed production unit that makes use of 520 metric tons of wastes produced by a 400 ha - plantation dedicated to producing 50 metric tons of pineapple fruit per month - as here exposed

For more on the calculation and figures related to the cost of production of one kg of pineapple fruit per hectare visit again this link.

Owing to the fact that leaves are gathered together during the harvest of the pineapple fruit, one sees that the cost of production of one kg of leaves per hectare is really minimal, that is around one tenth the cost of production of one kg of pineapple fruit - as reported on the last row of above table.

This low cost of production of the raw material (leaves) is a tremendous asset to setup an animal feed production unit - making pineapple leaves silage to be blended with pineapple fruit pulp and peels (from the processing of the fruits) - and adding relevant supplements to cope with the need of targeted livestock.

The pdf document here available exposes the results of feeding experiments made with pineapple leaves rations - for digestion trials on cattle livestock.

There is a dormant huge market for animal feed in African countries - in the range of US$20billions a year, to raising poultry [66, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76
], hogs [View this page], and livestock [103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 111, 112]
