By Dr. Bienvenu-Magloire Quenum

As explained at this page, the West, at the beginning of this year 2019 is in complete disarray and loosing ground on the global world stage to the EAST for the control of world affairs - economy, finance and military.

Further, there is a persistent impression that a New World Disorder reigns supreme in the West, since the eruption, end of November 2018, at the heart of the European Union territory, in France, of a leaderless movement, which participants wear a fluorescent vest, which is a compulsory accessory to the security gear of cars, bikes and lories owners. Not to have a Yellow Vest in your car may cost you a hefty fine from the Gendarmerie, the highways and road patrol.

- Peculiarities of the Yellow Vest Movement

In a nutshell, the Yellow Vest Movement is a leaderless grassroots movement that started on November 17, 2018 as a protest organization against planned tax hikes on gas price; and the rising cost of life for the population in general and the retired in particular.

That simple social rectification demand, quickly morphed into a broad range of others - particularly the instauration of a Citizen Sponsored Referendum for political, and social changes. (Referendum d'Initiative Populaire - RIP - in French) - identical to the one the Swiss are used to. And the reinstallation of the Impôt Sur La fortune (ISF) - extra taxation for the upper rich people suppressed by Macron as soon as he took office.

The RIP would need constitutional changes to become effective, and would be a powerful tool at the hands of the citizens, to control the country established power centers - the National Assembly, the Government/Executive Branch, the Constitutional Court; and even the Judiciary. A nightmare for the existing elite if the RIP ever become established.

Watching the Yellow Vest rallies, streaming into the streets of the capital Paris, and several provincial towns, one notices they are held under the French flag - Blue, White and Red cloth and the national anthem feverishly sung - as if participants want to stress the point that the national flag and the anthem are non-negotiable sovereignty symbols. In the contrary, the European Union flag - Blue cloth, spotted by 13 yellow stars is nowhere to be seen; and when exposed, from time to time, is trampled on, tore and burned down by protestants.

Week after week, since November 17, 2019 the rallies demonstrate the yellow vest movement is the gathering of French nationalists not ready to surrender national sovereignty, with huge banderoles proclaiming that France is not for sale.

[In the opinion of Africabiz Online, the "hidden" leaders of the Yellow Vest movement are the people who voted out  the EU Maastricht Treaty in 2005 (dubbed European Constitution), and were outraged to see their referendum NO-vote flushed under the rug, the proposed constitution being adopted by a Parliament vote (an extraordinary sleight of hands accomplished by the EU Commission and the complicity of Sarkosy government;) and finally signed into Law - under the Lisbon Treaty (2007).]

- What Would Be the Outcome of The Yellow Vest Movement ?

No one is capable of predicting the outcome of the Yellow Vest movement, which is not limited to France, but is taking all of Europe by storm. It even had spread as far as Taiwan. It seems as if the movement is animated by a "natural" inner-energy that makes it unstoppable.

One thing, however, is sure: the genie is out of the bottle. Historians would in the future, discriminate between "The World Before the eruption of the yellow vest movement" and after.

For instance, in France, it seems that the elite is at loss and cannot figure out how to stop or control the movement. Pro establishment counter rallies (red scarves) would backfire as they may lead to clashes with the Yellow Vest movement, and therefore raise the risk of  a civil war. (The Red Scarves sport waving the European flag; while the Yellow Vest despise it).

Indeed, the vice-grip exercised by the movement is increasing week after week, and the only way to stop the damage to France reputation on world stage, and the grinding economic destruction, is to give ropes to the demands. The quickest the better. Like it or not, a sober observer can assert here, on this January 2019, that the Referendum d'Initiative Populaire would become a reality in the near future of 6 months to two years. In our opinion there is no way to circumvent it; painful (for the elite) constitutional changes are also coming to France.

Further, video streaming and forum discussions  on social media are now debating about the predatory banking system that impoverishes the many to hugely benefit the few. These debates are awakening people to the fact that the debt-based banking system and its central bank network are the ultimate culprit of the globalisation of poverty. [A theme exposed and analyzed over years by Africabiz Online.]

So, one can assert here that the Yellow Vest movement would eventually accelerate the disintegration of the debt-based banking system and apply a deadly blow to its child, the globalization - as Make America Great Again and emerging new power centers in China, Russia, India and Iran, at the global stage, are targeting the same objective.

As for the European Union, its managers, the Commission members, the parliament, the European Central Bank would have to adapt to the new political landscape unveiled by the Yellow Vest movement in France. Either they cool down the forcefully drive to the Supra State project, and abandon the associated economic austerity programme, lauch an ambitious investment programme, raise salaries level in national states; opt for an European Union of the Nations; or the Supra State project would collapse, to even killing the  idea of an European Union - within a short term period of about 5 years. It is written on the wall.
