The Necessity To Establish National InformationTechnology Centers In African Countries To Manage The Economy
Eight main
components parts are listed as economic activities in Strategy
for African Countries and schematized
on the graphic that is here available
In fact, there is a ninth component-part, that had not been represented on the
graphic, which is fundamental for a successful implementation of the strategy.
It is a global component that is the
"IT coverage" of all projects included in the integrated
development scheme.
Indeed, each component part
of the integrated scheme should have IT coverage, to assist projects' managers
in day to day management. Therefore, the set up of a National Information Technology
Center is necessary, that will be in charges of following tasks:
1 -The design
and set up of a program to manufacture or assemble computers.
2- The selection and acquisition of adequate software packages and or their adaptation
to the specific projects included in the Strategy.
3- The follow-up of projects.
4- The set up of specific training sessions for projects' managers and staffs.
5- The supervision of the training sessions. Etc.
|
National
Information Technology Centers (NITC) should be partners, from the
start, in the planning of projects included in the integrated scheme, in
order for NITC management to devise control boards for decision-makers
that, at glance, give bird-view of scheme's
implementation, and the particular status of specific projects.

Opportunities SUGAR-CANE
& PRODUCTS - PART IV: - A SMALL-SCALE
OPERATION TO PRODUCING SUGAR-CANE JUICE
The current
series first issue outlined the importance of sugar-cane
as Economic
Catalyst to developing. This current delivery deals with a perfect
family business that can sustain an African household: the production of fresh
sugarcane juice obtained by the crushing
of sugar-cane sticks.
Let us consider a small-scale sugarcane juice producing operation that yields
2,400 liters of pure fresh juice per day (that is 120 containers
of 20 liters each/ 7,200 bottles or cans of 33,33
cc capacity each.)
One can choose a crushing machine that extracts 300 liters of fresh juice per hour. Operating staff is composed of four persons: One to feed the crusher, another person to discard crushed sticks (bagasse), one person to fill in 20 liters containers and another person in charge of handling. Plus one delivery man.
Table below lists investment items and estimate
to producing 2,400 liters of fresh sugarcane juice daily / 24 days per month
over 11 months that is 633,600 liters over an operational year:

Control Your Desktop
CONTROL YOUR COMPUTER EVEN IF YOUR MOUSE "DIES"
There are various
accessories that could help operating a computer easier. The mouse is just an
example of an accessory which makes navigation simple with just one click. However,
most of these accessories have short "lifespan" and can be considered disposable.
This is when the accessories can become bothersome.
What are you to do, when in the middle of an important document, your mouse decides
to "die"? Would you worry? Would you panic and run to the nearest store? What
if it's night time and the stores are closed and you are rushing up your work?
