AN ESSENTIAL BOOK TO "UNDERSTAND" THE BACKWARDNESS STATE OF SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA

Observers of the world stage are puzzled by the developing backwardness state existing in sub-Saharan African countries (since the era of the independence) - when Asia and Americas had made substantial progress for better living conditions. They are puzzled and fazed because the continent does have everything to move forward and improve the living conditions of the populations.

Indeed, in spite of huge mineral natural resources and plenty of land (and water), the Black continent is still subject to famine and has the lowest per capita Gross National Product, which evolution is flat and in the range of US$ 500 - in average - since 50 year running.

Some of these observers had even ruled out the Black continent from the world progress and labeled it as doomed - for ever. Millions of desperate Africans are in agreement with such statement, and are increasingly tempted to migrate to "greener pastures" in Europe and elsewhere in the world at large.

Most of the "pessimists" proclaim that Africans have an innate inferiority to organizing themselves, to master the environment in order to improving social and economic conditions.

Of course, we at Africabiz Online do not share that view as proved by monthly deliveries since 1999 - that show the black continent is the only virgin investment territory left for double-digit return on vested money.

I myself, the author of this current delivery had often been confronted with the pessimists cynical proclamation as above reported.

Obviously, these people are not well informed and just convey a mainstream belief in European countries.

To provide argument and help "correct" that opinion, we, at Africabiz Online decided to bring to the attention of the audience a book, written in 1972 and titled: "How Europe Underdeveloped Africa."

That book put things back into perspective. It shows first that Africans are not less organized than any other people in the world, and, second that they should not be considered as the sole responsible for the backwardness state now existing in African countries.

BIOMASS ENERGY - PART III: - SOME INDICATIONS TO MANUFACTURING A SMALL-SCALE BIODIGESTER

On a small-scale basis, farm wastes put into a warmed, dampened and dark tank [that is anaerobic conditions] would produce: (1) methane / biogas; and (2) a good fertilizer. A biodigester is essentially a heated tank into which manure and water slurry are directed. Oxygen is excluded to allow anaerobic bacteria to liquefy the volatile organic compounds in the mixture and then convert the resulting simple organic acids into a methane-rich biogas - a process analogous to that occurring in the rumen (the first stomach of a cow) in which vegetables intakes are broken down anaerobically by mixed microbial populations.

Adobe PDF (Portable Document Format) is the standard for files distribution, sharing and collaboration over the Internet. Adobe pioneered the format and created Adobe Acrobat Reader (to read pdf files) and Adobe Acrobat Professional to read and write pdf files. Thanks to Adobe Acrobat Professional, pdf files are no more tombstone's documents. They can be exchanged with collaborators or sent to clients to be modified, amended and secured.

In short pdf files are nowadays a necessity and Adobe Acrobat Reader or Writer a must have. However, the acquisition's cost of the professional brand is in the range of several hundred bucks. Therefore, several other software makers had been attracted to the market and are striving to clip Adobe Corp's market share.

Thus, one has the choice to purchase several other brands that claim to be capable of making pdf files - at less cost - that are also compatible with Adobe Acrobat Professional.

The point is (from personal experience) that claim is a false statement for several Adobe Acrobat Professional's challengers.

If you opt for some of them, you may end up producing pdf files that could be opened and read only by people who have installed on their system the same pdf files' maker you used to produce the files. That is really annoying, as you cannot know in advance what your clients are using as pdf files' maker and handler because they are so many brands competing out there on the Internet!

In short, Adobe Corp does have an edge on the competition. They are the best to produce and handle pdf files.

However, you certainly noticed how bulky Adobe Acrobat Professional is. It may take ages to load on your system, and sometimes several minutes up to the hour to print (to pdf file) a bulky Microsoft word document.

That is also annoying if one is handling score of pdf files. Hence the absolute need for an enhancement to Adobe Acrobat Professional's performance - to save the day!.
